THE IMPACT OF TRADE GLOBALIZATION ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The human rights-based approach to trade and investment considers how states are obligated to impact on their ability to fulfill human rights obligation in the trade/investment law
agreements, the measures states and other actors are to take to ensure positive impacts and avoid negative impacts. The World
Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Bank (WB) are to articulate areas of engagement in trade and investment to add value to human rights, this includes right to development, and its application, the importance of policy coherence taking into account human rights obligation, standards and principles, the need for human rights impact on audit and assessments and particularly remedies involved on the impartation of world trade investment on human rights obligations.
